Funding Priorities in Human Services
The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation funds direct-service organizations that tackle the roots of chronic poverty by applying effective solutions to the most challenging social and economic problems. The Foundation prioritizes supporting programs that provide basic human needs: food, shelter, clothing, and support to those who are without resources; be it financial, emotional, mental, physical, and/or spiritual support.
In the recent past, 35% of total funding has been allocated to Human Services.
Types of Support:
- Program, capital, and general support.
Preference Will Be Given To:
- Food banks and food delivery, provided services are program-related.
- Homeless shelters and affordable housing.

Please Also Note:
- If a grant request is unsuccessful, an organization must wait a minimum of one year from the date of declination before reapplying.
- Current grantees are eligible to apply again after the completion of their current grant timeframe and the foundation receiving their final report.
